Keeping a dorito in your car will ensure that you periodically get some exercise when you do a rebuild/swap.

I’ve been doing this since I saw the video. My coworkers have been on this diet for a little while now and it’ s showing good results for them. So far it’ s a little hard not to eat breakfast out of habit and to just wake up a little but its not overly onerous. I’ve been increasing my shape (from round to rounder) since my knee surgery has taken away the core tenant of my exercise routine...bike really really hard trails once or twice a week in the summer.  I only recently was given the okay to even work up a sweat on a stationary bike.  Here’s hoping this gives me a fighting chance to be ready for ski touring season.

Didn’t watch the video, but y eah, I’ve generally been eating one meal a day for the past seven years or so. Works fine for me since I just sit at a desk all day at work; I don’t need that much of a caloric intake.

Try swimming. That's a full body workout that's easier on the joints

For the same reason I don’t like the term “fasting”, I don’t like the term “diet”. Both have negative connotations and can get in the way of hopefully helping others to find the “lifestyle”.

Breakfast time has never been a problem for me. Do you drink coffee? I used to be a coffee fiend all day long, but have recently cut back to one or two cups before I leave the house. This may help me get through, I don’t know.

There’s an adjustment period too (just a week or so). Once that’s taken effect, the huge meal you had for supper the evening before is still working in your favor the next morning.

If I’ve had any difficulties, it’s mid-afternoon. Hunger is a funny thing. Your stomach tells your brain it’s uncomfortable, but it also tells your brain if you don’t eat soon, this uncomfortable feeling will get worse and worse. Well...it actually doesn’t. That’s the deciding moment. Once you get past that it becomes very empowering. Adrenaline also has something to do with it. The drive to dig in because very soon you’re going to be very lucky and get to eat a shit ton of whatever you want.

Good luck and I hope you find a way to make it work for you.

I’m in the same boat and don’t live a very active lifestyle. My meal is usually between 4 and 7pm (usually leaning toward 7pm). I’m willing to bet moving this meal time earlier would be helpful to someone who is more physically active.

Im pretty familiar with fasting, having done it once a month my entire life so I’ m used to that dull ache and can power through that. It’s mostly the routine and the taste I miss. I don’t drink coffee but I have my diet mt dew every morning. Partly for the caffeine and partly because its easier to take my morning meds. Diet? I don’t mind that. It IS a diet, in the sense that its your nutrition plan so I don’t really mind calling a spade a spade.

I certainly feel the drive to eat come 12 thats for sure. I’ve been eating kinda slutty for lunches. makes them extra tast y though.

I love swimming, but I don’t love paying for a gym membership...or gyms. I used to have a gym membership exclusively so I could swim at 1 AM when I couldn’t sleep. Actually got pretty good. I used to be a competitive triathlete but now my wetsuit mocks me from my closet.

I was doing an intermittent fasting using a 16/8 method for about a year. Lost weight and was eating better. However, I now lift weights throughout the day, and my job requires me to be very active for about ten straight hours, so I had to stop. My body would crash hard once I ate. I’m also in school after work and I just couldn’t.

I’m also noticing much quicker muscular gains while lifting, probably because I can now have creatine again (consuming creatine without food was no bueno for me).

My wife doesn’t mind a little extra fat as long as there’s muscle to even it out and energy to put it to work.

I have a friend that did the creatine while fluctuating between not eating and not eating enough. He had a breakdown one day, a n ambulance was called. No bueno!
